BALTIMORE(AP)-Steve Barber held the Los Angeles Angels to 2 hits, striking out 8, en route to a 4-1, complete game win in Baltimore tonight. Barber allowed singles to Billy Moran in the 1st and Albie Pearson in the 9th to pick up the win. Angels pitcher Ken McBride matched Barber pitch for pitch until the bottom of the 8th, when the Orioles broke it open with a 3-run 8th, getting a lead-off walk from Barber, then after a successful sacrifice from Jackie Brandt, Russ Snyder singled Barber to 3rd, who then scored on a sacrifice fly by Brooks Robinson. Jim Gentile then closed out the scoring with a 2-run-homer. Barber also figured in the 1st Oriole run, driving in Whitey Herzog(who had walked) with a RBI single in the 5th.
